#8 of 9 hotels in Kreuzberg by Axel's take. Kreuzberg is #7 of 12 places to stay in Berlin. The best hotels in Kreuzberg, ranked · Where to stay in Berlin

Axel's take: 7.8/10

A practical central base with friendly staff, but dated rooms and summer heat. a traditional 4-star business hotel near Potsdamer Platz, scored for what it is.

Relexa Stuttgarter Hof is a traditional 4-star business hotel: more practical than polished, and a good pick for sightseeing without paying for luxury. Anhalter Bahnhof is close, with Potsdamer Platz and Checkpoint Charlie within walking distance. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the helpful staff, generally clean rooms and convenient location; breakfast also earns positive mentions. We'd choose it for a straightforward city break rather than a special-occasion stay.

The main compromise is room comfort in warmer weather. Recent guests across sites describe dated furnishings and rooms without effective air-conditioning; opening street-facing windows can bring traffic noise. The hotel's courtyard-facing Superior rooms are worth considering for quieter nights. Parking costs extra and spaces are limited. We'd skip it if reliable summer cooling or contemporary four-star polish is essential.

  • Best for: sightseeing-focused city breaks; business travelers; travelers prioritizing location over style

  • Watch out for: no reliable summer air-conditioning; street noise with windows open; dated room furnishings

  • Location: Close to Anhalter Bahnhof, with Potsdamer Platz and Checkpoint Charlie walkable.

  • Rooms: Generally comfortable but dated; Superior rooms face courtyards, while summer heat is a recurring complaint.

  • Cleanliness: Mostly positive across booking sites, with occasional housekeeping misses rather than a dominant problem.

  • Service: Friendly, accommodating staff are one of the most consistent strengths in recent reviews.

  • Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, breakfast buffet, bar and small gym; confirm sauna and steam-room availability rather than relying on older listings.

  • Fees and surprises: Breakfast depends on the booking; underground parking is charged and limited.
