#9 of 9 hotels in Potsdamer Platz & Tiergarten by Axel's take. Potsdamer Platz & Tiergarten is #5 of 12 places to stay in Berlin. The best hotels in Potsdamer Platz & Tiergarten, ranked · Where to stay in Berlin
Axel's take: 8.0/10
A comfortable Berlin base with generous rooms and breakfast worth considering. a design-led mid-range city hotel near Potsdamer Platz, scored for what it is.
Quentin XL is a design-led mid-range hotel in a former bank, roughly 15 minutes’ walk from Potsdamer Platz rather than directly on the square. It’s a strong pick for a sightseeing break: Booking.com and Expedia guests praise the spacious rooms, while recent Tripadvisor reviews repeatedly highlight comfortable beds and an extensive breakfast buffet. Staff also earn plenty of praise for friendly, practical help.
The finish is less consistent than the stylish photos suggest. Some guests describe worn furnishings, and noise complaints suggest light sleepers should request a rear-facing room. Housekeeping is on request, so don’t assume an automatic daily clean. Breakfast and parking cost extra unless included in your booking. We’d choose it for room space and access to galleries and transport, but skip it for polished luxury or guaranteed quiet.
