Spacious comfort and excellent breakfast, but not Berlin’s most polished luxury stay. a large five-star conference hotel beside Tiergarten, scored for what it is.

JW Marriott Berlin is a large five-star conference hotel beside Tiergarten, strongest on space, cleanliness and breakfast rather than cutting-edge luxury. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise comfortable rooms and helpful staff; Booking.com’s ratings also back up the strong housekeeping and comfort. It’s a strong pick for business trips, museum visits and travelers who prefer a quieter base over a busy doorstep.

The trade-offs matter at this level: dated room interiors recur in guest feedback, and service occasionally falls short on responsiveness. Expect a walk to rail stations rather than immediate connections. Pool and sauna renovations were scheduled through September 25, 2026; Marriott now advertises both, but confirm reopening if wellness facilities are central to your plans. We’d skip it for sleek contemporary rooms, intimate service or nightlife immediately outside.

• Best for: business and conference travelers; museum visits and Tiergarten walks; travelers prioritizing spacious rooms

• Watch out for: dated interiors in some rooms; walk to U-Bahn and S-Bahn stations; confirm pool and sauna reopening

• Location: Quiet Tiergarten setting near the Kulturforum; rail connections require a walk.

• Rooms: Spacious and comfortable, but recurring feedback describes dated decor and occasional maintenance faults.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor feedback.

• Service: Warm, helpful staff earn frequent praise, with some lapses in response and follow-through.

• Amenities: Breakfast, steakhouse, lounge and gym; pool and sauna reopening needs confirmation after scheduled works.

• Fees and surprises: Parking, pets and breakfast can cost extra; check inclusions and lounge eligibility.
