#8 of 9 hotels in Neukölln by Axel's take. Neukölln is #11 of 12 places to stay in Berlin. The best hotels in Neukölln, ranked · Where to stay in Berlin

Axel's take: 7.2/10

A practical budget base near the U-Bahn, with uneven housekeeping and hot summer rooms. a no-frills 3-star in southern Neukölln, scored for what it is.

ibis Berlin City Süd is a no-frills 3-star in southern Neukölln: a reasonable pick for a short, budget-conscious stay rather than a sightseeing doorstep. Grenzallee U-Bahn is a few minutes away, and friendly, helpful staff are a consistent strength across Accor and Expedia reviews. Expect straightforward rooms, free Wi-Fi, a breakfast buffet and a round-the-clock bar—not much in the way of extras.

The trade-offs are real. Several summer 2026 guests report hot rooms without air-conditioning, while recent Accor feedback flags missed cleaning and bathroom problems alongside plenty of clean-room praise. Expedia guests also mention drainage and noise issues. We'd request a room facing the back and skip it if summer cooling, consistently polished housekeeping or walking to Berlin's main sights matters most.

Best for: budget-conscious short stays; travelers comfortable using the U-Bahn; visitors with plans in southern Neukölln
Watch out for: no air-conditioning in summer; uneven housekeeping and bathroom upkeep; street-facing rooms can be noisy
Location: Close to Grenzallee U-Bahn and buses, but not a walk-to-the-sights location.
Rooms: Basic and functional; recent guests flag summer heat and noise in some rooms.
Cleanliness: Many guests praise clean rooms, but missed housekeeping recurs in recent Accor feedback.
Service: Friendly, helpful staff are one of the most consistent positives across sources.
Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, breakfast buffet, 24-hour bar and elevator; pets accepted.
Fees and surprises: Parking and pets cost extra; parking is limited, and breakfast may be additional.
