Axel's take: 8.2/10

A dependable Berlin base with helpful staff, included breakfast and compact rooms. a practical 3-star sightseeing base near Anhalter Bahnhof, scored for what it is.

This no-frills 3-star near Anhalter Bahnhof is a strong pick for a sightseeing trip: straightforward rooms, breakfast included and useful public transport nearby. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, convenient location and generally clean rooms. We'd choose it for a short, busy city break rather than a hotel-centered stay; it delivers the essentials without much fuss.

The main compromise is space: rooms are compact, storage is limited, and breakfast can get crowded. There is a lobby bar but no full restaurant, while parking costs extra. A July 2025 Tripadvisor guest reported construction behind the hotel; its current status is unconfirmed, so light sleepers should check before booking. We'd skip it if generous rooms or extensive facilities matter more than a practical base.

• Best for: couples on sightseeing breaks; travelers using public transport; Tempodrom concertgoers

• Watch out for: compact rooms and limited storage; crowded breakfast periods; confirm status of previously reported rear construction

• Location: About five minutes' walk from Anhalter Bahnhof S-Bahn, with Checkpoint Charlie within walking distance.

• Rooms: Simple, air-conditioned rooms with tea and coffee facilities; space and storage are the main limitations.

• Cleanliness: Generally praised across guest reviews, though occasional housekeeping complaints appear.

• Service: Friendly, helpful reception staff are a consistent strength in recent reviews.

• Amenities: Included buffet breakfast, free Wi-Fi and a lobby bar; no pool or full restaurant.

• Fees and surprises: Underground parking and pets carry extra charges; rear construction was reported in July 2025, with completion unverified.
