Axel's take: 7.9/10

A practical Berlin base with generous breakfast, but quiet rooms matter. a straightforward 3-star chain hotel near Alexanderplatz, scored for what it is.

This straightforward 3-star Hampton is a good pick for exploring Berlin rather than spending much time in the hotel. Alexanderplatz is a short walk away, with a tram stop outside. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise comfortable beds, generally clean rooms and helpful staff; the included breakfast gets particular credit for its variety. We'd choose it for a convenient, uncomplicated city break.

The trade-off is bustle. Rooms can feel small, breakfast gets crowded, and street-facing rooms attract repeated complaints about tram and traffic noise. Nearby construction was still reported by guests in August 2026; check its status before booking. Request a courtyard-facing room rather than paying for a city view if sleep matters most. We'd skip it for a peaceful retreat or a stay where spacious rooms are the priority.

• Best for: sightseeing-focused city breaks; travelers using public transport; couples prioritizing breakfast and convenience

• Watch out for: tram and traffic noise in street-facing rooms; crowded breakfast periods; nearby construction reported in August 2026

• Location: A short walk from Alexanderplatz's transport connections, with a tram stop outside.

• Rooms: Functional and often compact, with comfortable beds; courtyard-facing rooms are the better request for light sleepers.

• Cleanliness: Broadly positive across sites, with occasional housekeeping lapses rather than a defining problem.

• Service: Helpful reception staff receive frequent praise, though some guests report uneven experiences.

• Amenities: Included hot breakfast, free Wi-Fi, a fitness center and a bar cover the city-break basics.

• Fees and surprises: City tax applies; parking and pets cost extra, and Hilton lists no EV charging or airport shuttle.
