#4 of 4 hotels in Hastings by Axel's take. Hastings is #3 of 6 places to stay in Barbados. The best hotels in Hastings, ranked · Where to stay in Barbados

Axel's take: 8.2/10

Choose it for friendly service and ocean views, not big-resort facilities. a small, adults-only 4-star all-inclusive on the Hastings boardwalk, scored for what it is.

The SoCo is a small, adults-only 4-star all-inclusive beside the Hastings boardwalk, and we'd choose it for a sociable, low-key Barbados break rather than a full-service resort experience. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, clean rooms and ocean views. À la carte dining is another strength, making this a strong pick for couples who prefer freshly prepared meals and a compact hotel to sprawling grounds.

The trade-offs are practical: traffic noise can intrude despite the seaside setting, the pool is small, and the rocky shoreline won't suit everyone. There is no elevator, while some guests describe tired furnishings and uneven service. We'd skip it if you need easy access to upper floors, extensive entertainment or consistently polished luxury. Otherwise, its hospitality and boardwalk location make a persuasive combination.

Best for: couples seeking a low-key all-inclusive; travelers who prefer small hotels; ocean-view and boardwalk stays
Watch out for: traffic noise in rooms; no elevator to upper floors; small pool and rocky shoreline
Location: Directly on the Hastings boardwalk, with coastal walks and nearby restaurants; road noise is the drawback.
Rooms: Ocean views are a highlight; some guests report tired furnishings and limited soundproofing.
Cleanliness: Generally well reviewed, with repeated praise for housekeeping.
Service: Friendly, personable staff are the strongest recurring positive, though service can be uneven.
Amenities: Outdoor pool, one restaurant and bar; massages can be arranged in-room rather than at a full spa.
Fees and surprises: Expedia lists a locally collected tourism tax and charged airport transfers; adults-only permits guests aged 16 and over.
