Axel's take: 7.2/10

A practical central base, but room choice and service consistency matter. a mid-range city business hotel near Race Course Road, scored for what it is.

Vividus is a mid-range city business hotel near Race Course Road, best chosen for convenience rather than luxury. We'd consider it for a short Bengaluru stay: Tripadvisor and Expedia guests regularly praise the food, helpful staff and comfortable rooms. Recent housekeeping feedback is particularly positive, although Booking.com's lower overall rating suggests a less consistent experience than the strongest reviews imply.

The catch is variability. Guests across sites describe some small or worn rooms, occasional cleaning lapses and requests that need chasing. Ask specifically about room size and outlook; some rooms have little daylight or face neighboring buildings closely. Pool and gym availability also needs checking: booking sites advertise both, while the hotel's own facilities page still labels them “Coming Soon.” We'd skip it if dependable leisure facilities or uniformly polished service are priorities.

• Best for: short business stays; travelers prioritizing a central location; guests who value on-site dining

• Watch out for: variable room size, daylight and outlook; uneven maintenance and service follow-through; conflicting pool and gym information

• Location: Convenient Madhava Nagar base near Race Course Road; location is one of its strongest guest-rated features.

• Rooms: Comfortable rooms earn praise, but check the category carefully for size, outlook and condition.

• Cleanliness: Recent housekeeping praise is encouraging, though cleaning complaints recur in the broader review record.

• Service: Many guests praise individual staff; check-in and follow-through are less consistent.

• Amenities: Restaurant, spa and meeting facilities; confirm pool and gym operation directly before booking.

• Fees and surprises: Confirm breakfast inclusion, parking arrangements and visitor rules for your specific reservation.
