Axel's take: 7.2/10

A convenient Indiranagar base, but room condition needs more consistency. a basic 3-star hotel on Indiranagar’s restaurant-lined 12th Main, scored for what it is.

UPAR Hotels Indiranagar is a basic 3-star whose strongest selling point is its location, not its finish. Restaurants, cafés and bars are close by, making it a practical base for short stays in the neighborhood. Guest feedback repeatedly praises the setting and helpful staff, while Booking.com’s overall rating is more restrained than Google’s. We’d consider it for convenience rather than a polished hotel experience.

The trade-off is uneven upkeep: reports range from clean, comfortable rooms to tired bathrooms and uncomfortable mattresses, including a detailed January 2026 complaint. Trip.com lists a 2025 renovation, but that does not establish that every room was refreshed. A December 2025 Tripadvisor guest also reported basement drilling; whether work continues is unconfirmed. Ask about construction and breakfast inclusion before booking. We’d skip it if dependable room condition and uninterrupted sleep are priorities.

• Best for: short, location-first stays; travelers exploring Indiranagar’s restaurants; budget-conscious business visitors

• Watch out for: uneven bathroom and mattress condition; confirm whether basement work has finished; check breakfast inclusion and format

• Location: The clearest strength: 12th Main puts restaurants, cafés and nightlife nearby.

• Rooms: Air-conditioned standard rooms and suites; maintenance and mattress comfort receive mixed feedback.

• Cleanliness: Clean-room praise sits alongside bathroom complaints; Booking.com rates cleanliness 7.0/10.

• Service: Helpful, attentive staff are a recurring positive, though experiences are not uniformly strong.

• Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, restaurant, bar and 24-hour reception are listed; breakfast may be boxed rather than buffet-style.

• Fees and surprises: Confirm breakfast and extra-bed charges; basement drilling was reported in December 2025, with current status unverified.
