#1 of 7 hotels in Race Course Road & Bangalore Palace by Axel's take. Race Course Road & Bangalore Palace is #2 of 11 places to stay in Bangalore. The best hotels in Race Course Road & Bangalore Palace, ranked · Where to stay in Bangalore

Axel's take: 9.0/10

A strong city base where cleanliness, helpful staff and dining stand out. a small Pai-group 3-star near Bangalore Palace, scored for what it is.

The President Kumara Park is a 33-room, Pai-group 3-star that looks especially dependable for its class. We'd pick it for a practical city stay: Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean, well-kept rooms, welcoming staff and good food, while Booking.com's strong cleanliness and service scores reinforce that picture. Andhra Ruchulu, cave-themed Gufha and Mulbagal Dosa Corner give this small hotel more dining choice than most.

The compromises are mostly practical. One-way street access can complicate arrivals, and a buffet breakfast isn't guaranteed: management confirms the format can depend on occupancy. Expedia lists no lift, while other listings disagree, so anyone needing step-free access should confirm directly before booking. It's a strong fit for business trips and sightseeing around Palace Grounds; we'd look elsewhere if guaranteed accessible facilities are essential.

  • Best for: business travelers in central Bengaluru; sightseers visiting Palace Grounds; travelers who value on-site dining

  • Watch out for: Confirm lift and step-free access; Breakfast may be à la carte rather than buffet; One-way street approach

  • Location: Kumara Park West, roughly 2 km from Bangalore Palace; one-way access can be awkward.

  • Rooms: Comfort and larger Premium rooms; guests generally praise comfort and upkeep.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia.

  • Service: Helpful, responsive staff attract repeated praise across sites.

  • Amenities: Three dining venues, 24-hour room service, Wi-Fi and parking.

  • Fees and surprises: Expedia includes breakfast and parking; confirm meal inclusions, breakfast format and lift access.
