Axel's take: 7.9/10

A dependable Jayanagar base, strongest on food and staff rather than room polish. A practical 3-star Pai Hotels property in Jayanagar, scored for what it is.

The President is a practical 3-star in Pai Hotels’ group, and we'd shortlist it for a stay focused on south Bangalore. Its Jayanagar location puts shops, restaurants and the metro within reach. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, helpful staff and a varied breakfast. The cave-themed Gufha and Andhra Ruchulu restaurants give it more dining appeal than many straightforward business hotels.

The trade-offs are room size and consistency: entry-level rooms can feel compact, and some guests report older fittings or maintenance niggles, though the overall cleanliness picture remains positive. Parking is genuinely limited—the management acknowledges this—even though booking sites advertise it as free. Confirm arrangements before driving here. It's a good fit for neighborhood visits and business trips; we'd look elsewhere if spacious, freshly finished rooms or easy parking are priorities.

• Best for: Business trips in south Bangalore; Jayanagar shopping and family visits; Travelers who value on-site dining

• Watch out for: Limited parking despite free-parking listings; Compact entry-level rooms; Uneven room maintenance

• Location: Convenient Jayanagar base; the hotel places Jayanagar metro station about 850 metres away.

• Rooms: Comfort, Luxury and Studio categories; smaller rooms and occasional maintenance issues merit checking before booking.

• Cleanliness: Generally a strength, supported by recent guest praise and solid cleanliness ratings across sites.

• Service: Helpful, courteous staff and attentive restaurant service are recurring positives.

• Amenities: Two restaurants, bars, Wi-Fi and event facilities; breakfast receives consistent praise.

• Fees and surprises: Airport transfers cost extra; confirm arrival terms because the official site's round-the-clock check-in wording differs from booking-site noon policies.
