#2 of 9 hotels in Majestic & Gandhinagar by Axel's take. Majestic & Gandhinagar is #4 of 11 places to stay in Bangalore. The best hotels in Majestic & Gandhinagar, ranked · Where to stay in Bangalore

Axel's take: 7.8/10

A practical budget base with helpful staff, but check the room details carefully. A simple budget lodge near Majestic’s transport hubs, scored for what it is.

Sri Kumara Lodge is a straightforward budget lodge, not a full-service three-star hotel. It’s a good pick for travelers prioritizing transport connections and value over polish. Booking.com guests and Google reviews reproduced on Wanderlog repeatedly praise the helpful reception staff, convenient location and clean rooms; February and April 2026 feedback reinforces the positive service picture.

The trade-offs are basic accommodation and some uncertainty over amenities. Booking.com lists several room types as stairs-only, air-conditioning varies by category, and Wi-Fi scores noticeably below the other facilities. Older reviews mention inconsistent hot water and housekeeping, although these do not dominate the newer feedback available. We’d choose it for a short, practical city stay, but skip it if step-free access, dependable working Wi-Fi or hotel-style comforts are essential.

  • Best for: Budget-conscious solo travelers; Short stays near Majestic; Travelers using rail, metro and buses

  • Watch out for: Stairs-only access for listed room types; Air-conditioning depends on room category; Weak guest ratings for Wi-Fi

  • Location: Convenient for Majestic metro, bus terminals and KSR Bengaluru railway station.

  • Rooms: Simple rooms with TVs; check bathroom arrangements and air-conditioning for the exact category booked.

  • Cleanliness: Generally praised in newer feedback, with some older housekeeping complaints on MakeMyTrip.

  • Service: Helpful, welcoming reception staff are the clearest recurring strength.

  • Amenities: Listings include laundry, luggage storage and Wi-Fi; confirm hot-water availability and step-free access directly.

  • Fees and surprises: Booking.com flags possible towel or sheet charges; clarify inclusions before arrival.
