Axel's take: 8.9/10

Warm service and spacious rooms make this a strong five-star pick beside Orion Mall. a full-service five-star business hotel beside Orion Mall, scored for what it is.

This is a full-service five-star business hotel whose strongest selling point is its people. Recent Tripadvisor, Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise attentive staff, clean, spacious rooms and a generous breakfast at Feast. We'd choose it for a comfortable business trip or family stay with shopping and restaurants conveniently next door at Orion Mall. The outdoor infinity pool, spa and nearby metro add substance beyond the corporate-hotel basics.

The main decision is whether this location suits your plans: the airport is 31 kilometres away, so this isn't an airport hotel despite Marriott's positioning. Breakfast isn't included with every booking, and lounge access depends on your room or membership. We'd skip it for a quick airport stopover; for a stay centred on Brigade Gateway, it's a strong choice.

• Best for: business travelers visiting Brigade Gateway; families wanting shopping nearby; travelers who prioritize attentive service

• Watch out for: not an airport-stopover location; breakfast inclusion varies by booking; club lounge access is restricted

• Location: Orion Mall is next door, with metro access nearby; the airport is 31 kilometres away.

• Rooms: Guests consistently describe spacious, comfortable rooms with good bedding and city or pool views.

• Cleanliness: Recent reviews across several sites strongly praise room and public-area cleanliness.

• Service: Warm, responsive staff are the most consistent strength across recent guest accounts.

• Amenities: Outdoor infinity pool, children's pool, spa, gym and multiple dining venues; club access requires eligibility.

• Fees and surprises: Self-parking and valet are complimentary; breakfast and airport transfers can cost extra.
