Axel's take: 7.9/10

A practical central base with praised staff, but uneven polish. A central, full-service business hotel rather than a true five-star luxury stay, scored for what it is.

Pride Premier Bengaluru is a full-service business hotel on Richmond Road, and we'd choose it for central convenience rather than five-star luxury. Recent Tripadvisor, MakeMyTrip and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise spacious rooms, helpful housekeeping and breakfast service. With three dining venues, a gym and a spa advertised, it offers useful comforts for a work trip or short city stay.

The caveat is consistency. Alongside strong recent feedback, guests on MakeMyTrip report slow check-in and rooms that disappoint against the photos; Trip.com reviews also flag occasional cleaning lapses. Expedia's weaker overall rating reinforces the gap between a comfortable business base and a reliably polished luxury hotel, although its visible written reviews are older. It's a good pick with realistic expectations; we'd skip it for a special occasion where immaculate presentation and seamless service matter most.

• Best for: Business travelers with central-city meetings; Short city stays; Travelers prioritizing space over luxury polish

• Watch out for: Uneven room condition and housekeeping; Some recent reports of slow check-in; Five-star listings overstate the consistency

• Location: Central Richmond Road base for the MG Road, Brigade Road and UB City areas; not directly beside a metro station.

• Rooms: Often praised as spacious and comfortable, but some guests report worn fittings or a mismatch with photos.

• Cleanliness: Recent praise predominates, though Trip.com guests also describe cleaning lapses.

• Service: Housekeeping and restaurant staff earn repeated praise; reception efficiency is less consistent.

• Amenities: Officially advertised facilities include three dining venues, a fitness center, a spa and meeting spaces.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists free parking; breakfast depends on the booking, and airport transfers cost extra.
