Axel's take: 8.2/10

A strong central base for friendly service and breakfast, rather than contemporary style. a full-service, 4-star-style business hotel in central Bengaluru, scored for what it is.

Fortune Select JP Cosmos is a full-service business hotel in central Bengaluru, and we'd pick it for practical comfort rather than luxury polish. Tripadvisor and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, clean, spacious rooms and generous breakfast. Its Cunningham Crescent Road location works well for central-city appointments and sightseeing, with MG Road about two kilometres away. A pool, gym and spa round out a useful package.

The main compromise is condition: some guests describe dated furnishings, and recent Expedia reviews include occasional bathroom-odour complaints, although the broader cleanliness picture remains positive. Aqua Grill operates in the evening, not throughout the afternoon. It's a strong choice for business trips and straightforward family stays; we'd skip it if fresh interiors and consistently polished facilities matter most.

• Best for: central Bengaluru business trips; families wanting full-service convenience; travelers who prioritize breakfast and helpful staff

• Watch out for: some dated furnishings; occasional bathroom-odour reports; evening-only Aqua Grill

• Location: Central Cunningham Crescent Road setting, behind Fortis Hospital and about two kilometres from MG Road.

• Rooms: Deluxe rooms are 28 square metres; comfort earns praise, but some furnishings show their age.

• Cleanliness: Generally well rated, with occasional recent bathroom-odour complaints rather than a broad negative pattern.

• Service: Warm, helpful staff and attentive restaurant service are recurring strengths across sites.

• Amenities: Swimming pool, gym, spa, all-day Zodiac restaurant and evening poolside Aqua Grill.

• Fees and surprises: Check breakfast inclusion; airport transfers and extra beds can carry additional charges.
