Axel's take: 7.7/10

Worth considering for the rooftop and location, but choose your room carefully. a large, traditional 4-star in central Athens, scored for what it is.

Titania is a large, traditional 4-star whose central location and rooftop do more to recommend it than its bedrooms. It’s a good sightseeing base near two metro stations, with Acropolis views from the Olive Garden restaurant. Expedia guests repeatedly praise the breakfast and helpful staff, while Booking.com’s strong cleanliness rating supports a generally dependable stay.

The catch is uneven room quality. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests describe dated interiors, cramped showers and noise; some also mention slow lifts. The hotel explicitly sells fully renovated Premier rooms, so we’d book that category rather than assume every room matches the refreshed photos. It’s a sensible base if you’ll spend your days exploring, but we’d skip it for a quiet, consistently polished four-star experience.

• Best for: sightseers prioritizing central access; travelers booking a renovated Premier room; rooftop breakfast enthusiasts

• Watch out for: uneven room condition and small showers; street and neighboring-room noise; slow lifts at busy times

• Location: Central avenue near Omonia and Panepistimio metro stations, convenient for exploring on foot.

• Rooms: Premier rooms are explicitly renovated; recent guests still report dated rooms elsewhere and compact bathrooms.

• Cleanliness: Generally good across Booking.com and Expedia, despite occasional housekeeping lapses reported on Tripadvisor.

• Service: Helpful, friendly staff receive substantial recent praise, although Tripadvisor experiences are less consistent.

• Amenities: Rooftop restaurant and bar, buffet breakfast, gym and free Wi-Fi; the rooftop is the standout.

• Fees and surprises: Parking costs extra, breakfast inclusion depends on the booking, and a seasonal accommodation tax is collected at the property.
