#7 of 9 hotels in Kolonaki by Axel's take. Kolonaki is #4 of 9 places to stay in Athens. The best hotels in Kolonaki, ranked · Where to stay in Athens
Axel's take: 8.3/10
Warm service and rooftop views make this classic five-star worth considering, despite uneven rooms. A traditional five-star business hotel outside Athens’ historic core, scored for what it is.
Divani Caravel is a large, traditional five-star business hotel: a strong pick for attentive service, comfortable beds and a rooftop pool with Acropolis views. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the staff, cleanliness and generous breakfast. We'd choose it for full-service comfort and nearby restaurants rather than boutique character or doorstep access to ancient Athens.
The main reservation is room condition: recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests describe some rooms as tired, even while others find theirs spotless and comfortable. That inconsistency matters at five-star level, so confirm the room category and condition before booking. Evangelismos metro is walkable, but sightseeing usually involves transport or a longer walk. Breakfast and parking can add considerably to the bill. Confirm pool availability for your dates: Expedia lists a winter closure. Skip it if uniformly modern luxury or a historic-center location is essential.
-
