#9 of 9 hotels in Glyfada & Athens Riviera by Axel's take. Glyfada & Athens Riviera is #9 of 9 places to stay in Athens. The best hotels in Glyfada & Athens Riviera, ranked · Where to stay in Athens
Axel's take: 8.1/10
A strong Glyfada base, but next-door construction compromises the downtime. a compact 4-star in central Glyfada, not a beachfront resort, scored for what it is.
Athens Coast Hotel is a compact 4-star in central Glyfada, better suited to exploring the neighborhood than a resort-style escape. It's a strong pick for shops, restaurants and coastal outings, with the tram close by and beaches within walking distance. Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor guests consistently praise the helpful staff and cleanliness. Standard rooms are small, but comfortable beds, a restaurant and an outdoor pool make this a practical, good-value base.
The main catch is next-door construction: guests were still reporting loud daytime work in September 2026, so check its status before booking. Room-to-room and corridor noise also recur in reviews; request a room away from the works and busy common areas. We'd skip it for a peaceful pool holiday or a sightseeing trip centered on downtown Athens.
