Axel's take: 7.4/10

A practical kitchen-equipped base, with friendly staff and decidedly basic extras. A budget extended-stay chain hotel with in-room kitchens, scored for what it is.

This budget extended-stay hotel makes most sense if you want to cook, park free and keep your Asheville stay simple. Expedia lists a January 2025 renovation, and newer Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise welcoming staff and clean rooms. Kitchens with full-size refrigerators and on-site laundry make it a sensible pick for work trips and longer visits. We'd choose it for practicality rather than a vacation-hotel atmosphere.

The limitations are worth knowing: breakfast is a modest grab-and-go offering, not a full spread, and daily housekeeping isn't included. Recent reviews also flag occasional cleaning misses and noise from neighboring rooms or air conditioners, although plenty describe comfortable stays. Bring a car for exploring Asheville, and confirm arrangements if arriving late. We'd skip it if quiet sleep, daily servicing or substantial amenities are priorities.

• Best for: Longer stays with a car; Budget travelers who cook; Work trips

• Watch out for: Basic grab-and-go breakfast; No included daily housekeeping; Some room and air-conditioning noise

• Location: Off Tunnel Road near shopping and restaurants; better as a driving base than a downtown walking base.

• Rooms: Kitchen-equipped studios; Expedia lists a January 2025 renovation, but some guests still report equipment and noise issues.

• Cleanliness: Newer feedback is largely positive, with occasional reports of missed floors, linens or other details.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn repeated praise across Tripadvisor, Expedia and Booking.com-derived reviews.

• Amenities: In-room kitchens, free Wi-Fi, guest laundry, free parking and a basic grab-and-go breakfast.

• Fees and surprises: Pets and extra housekeeping incur charges; confirm late-arrival arrangements because Expedia lists limited front-desk hours.
