Axel's take: 7.4/10
Friendly staff and clean rooms make it useful, but renovation uncertainty warrants caution. A practical 3-star chain hotel off Tunnel Road, scored for what it is.
Courtyard Asheville is a practical 3-star off Tunnel Road, better suited to exploring by car than walking downtown. We'd consider it for a straightforward base: Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff and clean rooms, while some 2026 guests welcome remodeled accommodation. Free parking, an indoor pool and a small gym add useful everyday comforts rather than resort-style extras.
The main reservation is major renovation work. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests reported disrupted entrances, construction noise and affected common areas during April–May 2026; completion could not be verified. Confirm the construction status and Bistro availability before booking, since dining closures also recur in reviews. Breakfast isn't included, and several guests find the pool chilly. We'd skip it for a quiet special occasion or a car-free downtown weekend.
