Axel's take: 8.4/10

A friendly Palm Beach base, but current pool work needs checking before booking. An adults-only mid-range boutique hotel near Palm Beach, not a beachfront resort, scored for what it is.

TRYP is an adults-only, mid-range boutique hotel for travelers who want Palm Beach without a sprawling beachfront resort. Reopened after a major 2024 renovation, it makes a strong case through location and service: Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, clean rooms and easy walks to restaurants. The beach is a short walk across the road, with complimentary chairs, umbrellas and a golf-cart transfer advertised by the hotel.

The immediate catch is the swimming pool: Expedia lists renovation from October 5–26, 2026, subject to change, and October guests confirm closure. Recent guests also report parking-lot work, so confirm both before arrival. Longer-term, nearby clubs can bring late-night noise. We'd choose it for couples or friends who prioritize exploring and eating out; we'd skip it for guaranteed quiet or a pool-centered holiday until reopening is confirmed.

• Best for: Couples who enjoy dining out; Friends exploring Palm Beach; Travelers who prefer smaller hotels

• Watch out for: Pool renovation scheduled through October 26, 2026; Recent parking-lot work; Late-night noise from nearby clubs

• Location: Walkable Palm Beach strip location near restaurants and nightlife; beach access requires crossing the road.

• Rooms: Renovated in 2024; guests generally praise room comfort, though nightlife can disturb sleep.

• Cleanliness: Strong cleanliness feedback across Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are the most consistent strength across guest-review sites.

• Amenities: Beach chairs, umbrellas and golf-cart transfers are advertised; confirm pool reopening before booking.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is listed as free; Expedia lists an incidental deposit, and breakfast inclusion depends on the booking.
