Axel's take: 8.7/10

A strong family beach base with refreshed suites and genuinely well-liked staff. a four-star beachfront all-suite resort with kitchens, scored for what it is.

Divi Aruba Phoenix is a four-star, all-suite resort on the quieter edge of Palm Beach, and we'd pick it for a comfortable, self-catering beach vacation rather than high-end pampering. Kitchens, balconies and direct beach access make longer stays practical. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the friendly staff, clean rooms and updated interiors. Divi says its major room renovations finished in January 2026, and later guest reports broadly support the improvement.

The trade-offs are more about dining and atmosphere than the basics: restaurant feedback is mixed, and nightlife seekers should look elsewhere. There's also a current closure: puredeli is being renovated into purecafé, which the hotel expects to open in early November 2026; Expedia lists dining work through November 30, so confirm timing. We'd happily shortlist it for families and relaxed couples, but skip it for an all-inclusive stay or a party-focused resort.

Best for: families wanting kitchen-equipped suites; couples seeking relaxed beach days; longer self-catering stays
Watch out for: puredeli closed for café renovation; mixed restaurant feedback; quiet rather than party-focused
Location: Directly on Palm Beach's quieter edge, with the main hotel strip within walking distance.
Rooms: Kitchen-equipped suites with balconies or patios; recent guests praise the refreshed interiors.
Cleanliness: Consistently positive recent feedback across Tripadvisor and Expedia.
Service: Friendly, helpful staff are the clearest recurring strength across recent reviews.
Amenities: Pools, hot tubs, a swim-up bar, gym and spa; no all-inclusive plan.
Fees and surprises: Free parking and Wi-Fi; cribs and extra beds cost extra, and Expedia lists a 10 a.m. checkout.
