Hotels in AlmatyA simple 3-star near Almaty-1 station and the airport
8.2/10
A strong transit stop, less convincing as a sightseeing base.
Royal Park is a simple 3-star near Almaty-1 station, better suited to an airport stopover than exploring central Almaty. It's a strong pick for practical comfort and good value: recent Trip.com guests and Google reviews praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff, while Booking.com guests rate cleanliness highly. The hotel says its last redecoration was in 2024, and breakfast earns plenty of positive mentions.
The trade-offs are compact rooms and inconsistent quiet: guests report corridor noise and a neighboring car wash disturbing some rooms. Several also mention missing kettles or patchy room Wi-Fi. A refundable cash deposit is required, and breakfast and airport-transfer inclusions should be confirmed for your booking. We'd skip it for a walkable city break; for a short transit stay, it delivers the basics well.

Best for: airport stopovers; Almaty-1 rail connections; value-minded short stays
Watch out for: car-wash and corridor noise; far from central sightseeing; refundable cash deposit
Location: Near Almaty-1 station; the hotel puts the airport 6 km away, but central sights are less convenient.
Rooms: Simple, compact rooms with air conditioning; guests praise beds but mention noise and missing kettles.
Cleanliness: Strong overall ratings and repeated recent praise for clean rooms, towels and bedding.
Service: Mostly helpful and welcoming, with some reports of unfriendly reception or slow problem handling.
Amenities: Cafe, breakfast, free Wi-Fi and airport transfers; room Wi-Fi reliability gets mixed feedback.
Fees and surprises: Refundable cash deposit required; confirm breakfast and transfer inclusions rather than assuming they're free.
