Hotels in AlicanteA simple 3-star hotel within a university-residence and conference complex
8.0/10
A strong campus base with helpful staff, practical facilities and imperfect soundproofing.
Villa Universitaria is a simple 3-star hotel within a university-residence and conference complex, not a beach resort. It's a strong pick for University of Alicante visits or sports events: Booking.com, Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise cleanliness and helpful reception staff. Rooms are functional rather than stylish, while the gym, laundry and seasonal outdoor pool add useful extras. Nearby shops, restaurants and the tram make the suburban setting workable without a car.
The main compromise is soundproofing: several Booking.com guests describe hearing neighbours and doors. Breakfast gets mixed feedback, with Tripadvisor guests calling the selection limited but adequate. Parking costs extra, and Expedia lists the pool season as May through October. We'd skip it for a romantic escape, very noise-sensitive sleeping or a holiday centred on walking to Alicante's beaches and old town.

Service: Helpful reception staff are one of the most consistently praised features.
Amenities: Seasonal outdoor pool, gym, sports court, restaurant, laundry and free Wi-Fi.
