Axel's take: 7.9/10

A practical airport stop with helpful staff, but maintenance needs more consistency. a full-service 3-star airport hotel, scored for what it is.

This full-service 3-star is a good pick for an Albuquerque airport overnight, rather than a sightseeing base. Its free airport shuttle, complimentary daily parking and on-site restaurant make travel days easier. IHG advertises renovated rooms, while recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests praise comfortable beds, spacious accommodations and friendly staff. We'd choose it for a short, flight-focused stay.

The renovation hasn't eliminated maintenance niggles: several recent Expedia guests report loose or cracked bathroom tiles, malfunctioning appliances and hot-tub jets that wouldn't work. Cleanliness feedback is mostly positive, though occasional odor complaints appear across sites. Breakfast generally costs extra unless included in your booking, and exploring Albuquerque is easier with a car. We'd skip it if you want walkable sightseeing or reliably polished facilities; confirm the hot tub's condition if that's important.

• Best for: early departures and late arrivals; short business stays; families wanting more room

• Watch out for: recurring minor maintenance problems; hot-tub jets reported not working; breakfast not automatically included

• Location: About a mile from the airport; better for flight connections than car-free sightseeing.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds and spacious rooms draw praise, but bathroom finishes and appliances can disappoint.

• Cleanliness: Mostly positive recent feedback, with occasional room or hallway odor complaints.

• Service: Helpful front-desk and shuttle staff are recurring strengths, despite some inconsistent experiences.

• Amenities: Indoor pool, hot tub, gym, restaurant and bar; recent guests repeatedly flag nonworking hot-tub jets.

• Fees and surprises: Daily self-parking and airport shuttle are free; breakfast usually costs extra, and park-and-fly arrangements should be confirmed separately.
