Axel's take: 8.4/10

A strong suburban base with roomy suites, useful inclusions and a few maintenance niggles. a practical 3-star all-suite hotel near Colonie Center, scored for what it is.

This 3-star all-suite hotel is a strong pick for Albany visits by car, especially when extra space matters more than a downtown address. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean, roomy accommodations, breakfast and helpful staff. Mini-fridges, microwaves and work areas make the suites practical for families and working travelers, while free parking and hot breakfast strengthen the value. Prestige Hospitality reports a refresh covering guest rooms and several public spaces.

The main reservations are smaller but worth knowing: slow shower drains appear on both review sites, and some Tripadvisor guests describe unhelpful management despite the broadly positive service feedback. Marriott lists housekeeping every other day, not daily. We'd choose it for college visits, shopping or a road-trip stop; we'd skip it if downtown walkability or an airport shuttle is essential, since this suburban property offers neither.

• Best for: families wanting extra room; college visits by car; road-trip stopovers

• Watch out for: repeated reports of slow shower drains; housekeeping every other day; no airport shuttle

• Location: Convenient for Colonie Center, UAlbany and highway access; better suited to drivers than downtown sightseeing on foot.

• Rooms: Spacious suites with work areas, mini-fridges and microwaves; Prestige reports refreshed rooms and public spaces.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength in recent reviews, with Expedia's cleanliness rating at 9.0 out of 10.

• Service: Mostly praised as friendly and helpful, with some Tripadvisor complaints about management and benefit handling.

• Amenities: Included hot breakfast, indoor pool, fitness center and Wi-Fi; no airport shuttle.

• Fees and surprises: On-site parking is complimentary; housekeeping is every other day, and pets are not accepted except service animals.
