#9 of 9 hotels in Vastrapur & Bodakdev by Axel's take. Vastrapur & Bodakdev is #4 of 9 places to stay in Ahmedabad. The best hotels in Vastrapur & Bodakdev, ranked · Where to stay in Ahmedabad

Axel's take: 6.5/10

Useful highway location, but tired rooms and uneven upkeep limit its appeal. a basic budget hotel on Ahmedabad's SG Highway, scored for what it is.

The Grand Eden is a basic budget hotel in Bodakdev, best considered for a short stay near SG Highway rather than a sightseeing base. Its location and frequently praised staff are the main reasons to book. Hotels.com guests report decent rooms and friendly service, while Tripadvisor's June 2025 reviewer praised cleanliness and breakfast. We'd consider it if this part of Ahmedabad suits your plans, but it isn't a reliably comfortable all-rounder.

The larger MakeMyTrip review pool is noticeably less enthusiastic: recent guests describe worn rooms, inconsistent bathroom cleaning and missing essentials. Agoda also records complaints about broken room fittings alongside positive service reports. Breakfast gets mixed feedback. An April 2026 guest reported noisy renovation work; whether it continues is unconfirmed. We'd skip it if dependable housekeeping or well-maintained rooms matter more than location.

  • Watch out for: uneven housekeeping and worn rooms; mixed breakfast feedback; renovation noise reported in April 2026; current status unconfirmed

  • Location: Bodakdev on SG Highway, convenient for nearby hospitals and shopping rather than the old city.

  • Service: Helpful staff earn repeated praise, but replenishment and response times can be inconsistent.

  • Amenities: Booking sites list Wi-Fi, room service and a lift; Hotels.com confirms free self-parking.

  • Fees and surprises: Confirm breakfast inclusion, restaurant operation and renovation status; the official website could not be accessed.
