#8 of 9 hotels in Vastrapur & Bodakdev by Axel's take. Vastrapur & Bodakdev is #4 of 9 places to stay in Ahmedabad. The best hotels in Vastrapur & Bodakdev, ranked · Where to stay in Ahmedabad

Axel's take: 6.7/10

A convenient budget base, but housekeeping and renovation disruption make it a conditional pick. a no-frills 3-star in Vastrapur, scored for what it is.

Hotel Shital Inn is a no-frills 3-star in Vastrapur, best considered for a short, practical stay rather than a polished hotel experience. Its strongest asset is the location near Ahmedabad One Mall, local eateries and IIM Ahmedabad. MakeMyTrip and Trip.com guests often praise the helpful staff and comfortable rooms; the hotel lists a restaurant, parking, Wi-Fi and a lift.

Consistency is the catch. Recent MakeMyTrip reviews mix clean, comfortable stays with repeated complaints about dirty glasses, linen and bathrooms, plus occasional air-conditioning problems. Breakfast is often described as basic. Guests also reported renovation work and repair interruptions during 2026, including July–August; completion could not be confirmed. We'd consider it for budget-conscious business visits, but skip it if dependable cleanliness or an undisturbed stay matters most.

Best for: budget-conscious business travelers; short visits around Vastrapur and IIM Ahmedabad
Watch out for: inconsistent housekeeping and bathroom upkeep; 2026 renovation and repair disruption; confirm completion; basic breakfast selection
Location: Convenient for Ahmedabad One Mall, neighborhood eateries and visits to IIM Ahmedabad.
Rooms: Often described as comfortable and spacious, but bathroom condition and air-conditioning performance vary.
Cleanliness: Plenty of positive reports, but recent complaints about linen, glassware and bathrooms recur.
Service: Helpful staff receive frequent praise, though responsiveness and repair coordination are uneven.
Amenities: The official site lists a restaurant, Wi-Fi, parking, lift, room service and conference facilities.
Fees and surprises: Confirm renovation status, breakfast inclusion and any airport-transfer or early-check-in charges before booking.
