Axel's take: 6.2/10

Convenient for Paldi transport, but cleanliness and upkeep remain too inconsistent. a basic budget hotel at Paldi Cross Road, now marketed as an OYO Townhouse, scored for what it is.

Hotel Neelkanth Inn is a basic budget hotel at Paldi Cross Road, now marketed by OYO as Super Townhouse Paldi Bus Terminal Ahmedabad Formally Neelkanth. Its strongest selling point is convenience: recent ixigo guests praise access to the bus stand and metro, and several describe helpful staff and clean rooms. We'd consider it for a short, practical stop rather than a stay where the hotel matters.

The catch is inconsistency. Recent ixigo reviews also describe dirty bathrooms, broken fittings and unhelpful complaint handling; one September 2026 guest reported cockroaches. A July 2025 Goibibo guest mentioned cigarette smell despite the listed smoking ban. Ratings vary substantially between platforms, so the upbeat accounts aren't enough for an easy recommendation. We'd skip it for a longer family stay or if dependable hygiene is non-negotiable.

  • Best for: short Paldi stopovers; budget travelers prioritizing transport

  • Watch out for: inconsistent cleanliness and maintenance; mixed staff responsiveness; old and new hotel names across listings

  • Location: Paldi Cross Road location is convenient for the bus stand and nearby metro.

  • Rooms: Basic air-conditioned rooms; recent guests disagree on condition, with some reporting broken fittings or weak cooling.

  • Cleanliness: Clean-room praise competes with recent reports of dirty bathrooms and a cockroach complaint.

  • Service: Several guests praise helpful staff, while others describe poor responses to problems.

  • Amenities: OYO lists Wi-Fi, TV, power backup and meals prepared on order; don't assume a full-service restaurant.

  • Fees and surprises: Confirm the current property name and meal inclusions; OYO lists noon check-in and 11 a.m. checkout.
