This renovated five-star hotel connected to COEX is a strong pick for Gangnam business trips and shopping-focused stays. Reopened in September 2025 as a Westin, it earns consistent praise across Expedia, Booking.com and Tripadvisor for cleanliness, comfortable rooms and attentive staff. The substantial gym, indoor pool and well-reviewed club lounge give you good reasons to spend time here beyond sleeping.

The trade-offs are location and access rules rather than widespread service failures. We'd choose somewhere farther north for a palace-heavy sightseeing trip. Some guests across several sites mention lingering room or bathroom odors, although cleanliness ratings remain excellent overall. Families should check the pool's minimum-height rule; the gym and sauna are adults-only, sauna entry costs extra, and the fitness club closes monthly.
