7.4/10
Brasília’s practical default for a first visit or a working trip.
The strongest hotels and best all-round base outweigh middling value and limited street life, with central access that still requires sightseeing rides.

Setor Hoteleiro Norte puts you just north of the Eixo Monumental, with Brasília Shopping and Conjunto Nacional handling easy meals and errands. The TV Tower gardens provide somewhere pleasant to walk, while the convention center is convenient from the western blocks. This is a functional hotel district rather than a residential neighborhood.
Stay here for a short architecture trip or a work-and-sightseeing mix. The catch is Brasília itself: destinations are spread out, and the metro does not follow the monumental sights. Skip it if your priority is stepping straight into neighborhood cafés and bars; the residential streets of Asa Norte and Asa Sul suit that better.
