#6 of 9 hotels in Motijheel & Paltan by Axel's take. Motijheel & Paltan is #2 of 8 places to stay in Dhaka. The best hotels in Motijheel & Paltan, ranked · Where to stay in Dhaka
Axel's take: 7.5/10
A practical central base, but traffic noise limits its appeal. a simple 3-star business hotel in central Dhaka, scored for what it is.
Grand Circle Inn is a simple 3-star business hotel in Rajarbagh, useful for Motijheel appointments and Kamalapur railway connections. We'd shortlist it for a practical, reasonably priced stay rather than a polished retreat. Tripadvisor and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, while many describe clean, comfortable rooms. The rooftop restaurant adds appeal, although breakfast gets mixed feedback.
The clearest drawback is street noise: recent guests on both sites describe horns and inadequate sound insulation, so request a rear-facing room. Room upkeep is less consistent than the warmest reviews suggest. One September 2026 Trip.com guest reported pests, flooding and poor complaint handling; that is concerning, but not enough to establish a hotel-wide pattern. Hot-water reports also conflict. We'd skip it if quiet sleep and reliably maintained bathrooms matter more than location and value.
-
Best for: budget-conscious business travelers; travelers using Kamalapur station; short central Dhaka stays
-
Watch out for: traffic noise in street-facing rooms; uneven bathroom maintenance; mixed breakfast feedback
-
Location: Practical Rajarbagh base for Motijheel and Kamalapur station, rather than a quiet retreat.
-
Rooms: Air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms; sound insulation and hot-water reliability draw criticism.
-
Cleanliness: Many positive reports, balanced by a serious isolated September 2026 pest complaint.
-
Service: Helpful staff are a recurring strength, though complaint handling is not uniformly praised.
-
Amenities: Rooftop dining, free Wi-Fi and parking are supported; confirm breakfast inclusion.
-
Fees and surprises: Airport transfers cost extra; booking sites disagree on check-in and checkout times.
