Axel's take: 8.1/10

A strong Universal base with friendly service, though rooms could use refreshing. A practical 3-star tower hotel near Universal on International Drive, scored for what it is.

This 3-star International Drive tower is a strong pick for travelers spending more time at Universal than in their hotel. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, clean rooms and convenient access to restaurants. The heated outdoor pool, children's splash pad and complimentary Universal transportation make it especially useful for families. We'd choose it for practical comfort and location rather than resort-style polish.

The main compromise is room condition: some guests find the furnishings and bathrooms ready for updates, even while others describe comfortable, well-maintained rooms. Marriott lists housekeeping every other day, and parking and breakfast cost extra unless your booking includes them. It's a good fit for park-focused trips; we'd skip it if freshly renovated interiors or included daily housekeeping are priorities.

• Best for: Families visiting Universal; Park-focused travelers; Travelers wanting nearby dining

• Watch out for: Some dated rooms and bathrooms; Parking and breakfast usually extra; Housekeeping every other day

• Location: Useful International Drive base near Universal, with restaurants and trolley stops close by.

• Rooms: Comfortable rooms and elevated views earn praise; some furnishings and bathrooms need refreshing.

• Cleanliness: Recent feedback is predominantly positive, with occasional housekeeping lapses rather than a dominant pattern.

• Service: Friendly front-desk and breakfast staff are recurring strengths across Tripadvisor and Expedia.

• Amenities: Heated outdoor pool, splash pad, gym, dining and complimentary Universal transportation.

• Fees and surprises: Paid parking; breakfast is not standard; Marriott lists housekeeping every other day.
