Axel's take: 7.8/10

A practical airport stop with useful fitness extras, but little neighborhood appeal. a fitness-focused mid-range airport hotel, scored for what it is.

EVEN is a fitness-focused mid-range airport hotel, and we'd pick it for a layover or pre-cruise night rather than a Miami vacation. Expedia and Booking.com ratings point to a generally dependable stay, with recent guests repeatedly praising clean rooms and helpful staff. The outdoor pool, 24-hour gym and in-room workout equipment give it more substance than a basic overnight stop, while the free airport shuttle is genuinely useful.

The trade-off is an industrial setting with limited nearby dining and little reason to linger outside. Aircraft noise bothers some guests, and Tripadvisor feedback is less consistent about service than recent Expedia reviews. Parking costs extra, and breakfast isn't automatically included with every booking. Call to confirm the shuttle pickup point: the hotel's own pages give conflicting directions. We'd skip it for a walkable sightseeing base.

• Best for: overnight airport connections; pre-cruise stays; travelers keeping up a workout routine

• Watch out for: industrial surroundings with limited dining; aircraft noise; confirm airport shuttle pickup instructions

• Location: Convenient for MIA, but the industrial neighborhood is better for transit than sightseeing.

• Rooms: Generally comfortable, with in-room fitness equipment; some guests report intrusive aircraft noise.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com scores and recent Expedia guest feedback.

• Service: Recent Expedia guests often praise staff; Tripadvisor reports a less consistent experience.

• Amenities: Outdoor pool, 24-hour gym, restaurant, free Wi-Fi and complimentary 24-hour airport shuttle.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and pets incur fees; check breakfast inclusion and confirm shuttle pickup directly.
