Axel's take: 8.1/10

Stylish suites and warm hospitality, but construction noise currently complicates the romantic escape. An adults-only upscale boutique hotel beside Condado Lagoon, scored for what it is.

O:LV Fifty Five is an adults-only upscale boutique hotel with 26 suites beside Condado Lagoon, not a beachfront resort. It's a strong pick for couples who want distinctive design, walkable restaurants and rooftop lagoon views rather than sprawling facilities. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the housekeeping, comfortable rooms and welcoming staff; the small rooftop pool is another consistent highlight.

Choose your room carefully: the hotel explicitly labels its Design Suites windowless, while balcony categories offer a very different experience. More importantly, September–October 2026 guests report on-property and street construction, including disruptive early starts; confirm the current work before committing. Rooftop dining service also gets mixed feedback, and breakfast isn't included with every booking. We'd skip it for guaranteed quiet or direct beach access, but otherwise it's an appealing, intimate Condado base.

• Best for: Couples seeking an adults-only stay; Design-minded travelers; Exploring Condado on foot

• Watch out for: Recent construction and early-morning noise; Windowless Design Suites; Small pool; no direct beach access

• Location: Lagoon-side Condado setting, walkable to restaurants and beaches rather than directly beachfront.

• Rooms: Distinctively furnished suites; Design Suites have no windows, so check the exact category.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guest feedback.

• Service: Warm, helpful staff receive substantial praise; rooftop dining service is less consistent.

• Amenities: Small rooftop pool, lagoon views, restaurants, free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk; guests must be 18 or older.

• Fees and surprises: Valet parking costs extra; breakfast inclusion varies. September–October 2026 reviews report construction on property and in the street.
