Axel's take: 8.3/10

Strong service and sea views, but nearby construction complicates an otherwise relaxing escape. A luxury adults-only all-inclusive high-rise on Cancun’s Hotel Zone beach, scored for what it is.

Secrets The Vine is a luxury adults-only all-inclusive high-rise, not a sprawling tropical resort. We'd pick it for spacious balcony rooms, sea views and attentive service rather than secluded grounds. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests consistently praise housekeeping and staff, and recent Expedia reviews remain strongly positive. Dining earns plenty of praise, although reports on food and drinks are less consistent than those on service.

The immediate caveat is renovation work at neighboring Hard Rock Hotel Cancun: September 2026 guests reported intrusive early-morning construction, and Hard Rock targets reopening in late December 2026. Confirm conditions before booking. Pool-chair saving and some aging finishes also recur in guest feedback. Preferred Club adds an exclusive pool and lounge, not access included with every room. We'd skip it if uninterrupted quiet, expansive gardens or uniformly polished luxury are essential.

• Best for: Couples wanting a child-free beach break; Travelers who prefer a compact resort; Guests prioritizing service and sea views

• Watch out for: Neighboring Hard Rock renovation noise; Early pool-chair saving; Some aging room finishes

• Location: Beachfront in the Hotel Zone, with a compact high-rise layout rather than extensive gardens.

• Rooms: Spacious balcony rooms and comfortable beds draw praise; some repeat guests report dated finishes.

• Cleanliness: A clear strength across Tripadvisor and Expedia, including recent housekeeping praise.

• Service: Staff receive consistently strong feedback, though check-in and problem handling occasionally disappoint.

• Amenities: Pools, gym, spa and multiple restaurants; the exclusive Preferred Club pool requires the corresponding upgrade.

• Fees and surprises: Some wine tastings and activities cost extra; confirm neighboring construction conditions and your room’s club access.
