Axel's take: 8.3/10

A strong smoke-free Strip base, with better dining than room amenities. a smoke-free 4-star casino resort on the Las Vegas Strip, scored for what it is.

Park MGM is a smoke-free 4-star casino resort that gets the important things right: a convenient Strip location, appealing restaurants and generally clean, comfortable rooms. It's a strong pick for travelers who want casino access without the smoke, especially for events at Dolby Live or nearby T-Mobile Arena. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise cleanliness and helpful staff; Booking.com guests also rate location and comfort highly. Eataly and Bavette's make dining a particular strength.

The compromise is upstairs. Standard rooms are spacious enough, but recurring Tripadvisor feedback describes tired furnishings and missing conveniences such as a refrigerator and coffee maker. Noise experiences vary, so light sleepers should request a quieter room. Factor in the daily resort fee and paid parking. We'd skip it for a luxury-focused stay; its appeal is convenience, food and a smoke-free setting rather than lavish rooms.

• Best for: travelers who prefer smoke-free casinos; Dolby Live and T-Mobile Arena visitors; couples prioritizing restaurants and location

• Watch out for: basic in-room amenities; variable room noise and condition; daily resort fee and paid parking

• Location: Convenient Strip base beside T-Mobile Arena, with Dolby Live on site.

• Rooms: Standard rooms measure 406 square feet; guest feedback flags worn furnishings and limited conveniences.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall, with repeated recent Expedia praise outweighing scattered housekeeping complaints.

• Service: Usually friendly and helpful, though Tripadvisor includes some poor front-desk experiences.

• Amenities: Three outdoor pools, a fitness center, spa, casino and substantial dining choices.

• Fees and surprises: Daily resort fee; self-parking and valet generally cost extra.
