Axel's take: 7.7/10
Once a practical Little India base, but permanently closed since August 2026. A permanently closed former 4-star hotel in Little India, scored for what it is.
Novotel Singapore on Kitchener was a practical 4-star hotel whose strongest assets were its location and generously sized rooms. However, its official website announces permanent closure from August 1, 2026, so it is no longer a choice for an upcoming Singapore trip. Our score reflects its pre-closure record: generally good accommodation, rather than a standout four-star experience. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praised the convenient shopping, dining and transport connections.
Before closure, the trade-offs were inconsistent housekeeping and reception service. July 2026 Accor and MakeMyTrip reviews mixed praise for comfortable, clean rooms with complaints about slow check-in, missing supplies and unhelpful staff. We'd now skip this listing entirely for travel planning: older reviews and surviving booking pages should not be mistaken for evidence that the hotel still operates.
