This is a large backpacker hostel, not a conventional hotel, and we'd pick it for train connections and a ready-made nightlife scene. Gare du Nord is a short walk away, while downstairs Belushi’s hosts social events and late-night drinks. Curtained bunks, individual charging points, female-only dorms and private-room options make the setup practical. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests regularly praise helpful staff and comfortable beds.
The compromises are substantial enough to check your priorities. Recent Expedia and Hostelworld reviews repeatedly mention hot rooms without air-conditioning, late-night noise and bathrooms needing maintenance or more consistent cleaning. Plenty of guests still report clean rooms, so this isn't a uniformly poor housekeeping story. Luggage storage and other extras also chip away at the value.
