#6 of 7 hotels in Versalles & Santa Mónica by Axel's take. Versalles & Santa Mónica is #3 of 6 places to stay in Cali. The best hotels in Versalles & Santa Mónica, ranked · Where to stay in Cali

Axel's take: 7.0/10

A practical central base, but booking reliability and room upkeep need caution. a simple 3-star city hotel in Cali’s Versalles neighborhood, scored for what it is.

Hotel Calima Real is a simple 3-star city hotel in Versalles, convenient for central Cali and Granada’s restaurants. We’d consider it for a short, location-first stay rather than a hotel-centered holiday. Google guests and Hotels.com reviewers praise the breakfast, helpful staff and comfortable rooms, though the guest picture is less consistent on other platforms. Breakfast and parking are listed as included.

The main caution is reliability: separate 2025 reviews describe missing reservations or being charged again, so confirm your booking and payment directly before arrival. Booking.com reviews reproduced by Planet of Hotels also flag worn furnishings, uneven housekeeping and noise. The pool is a shallow soaking pool, not somewhere to swim laps. A January 2026 guest reported neighboring construction and an unavailable terrace; current status is unverified. We’d skip it for a quiet retreat or dependable resort-style facilities.

Best for: location-first city breaks; short business visits
Watch out for: reservation and payment discrepancies; noise and uneven room upkeep; shallow pool; confirm terrace availability
Location: Versalles base near Torre de Cali, the river boulevard and Granada’s dining area.
Rooms: Air-conditioned rooms receive comfort praise, but recent complaints flag worn furnishings and uncomfortable mattresses.
Cleanliness: Strong Hotels.com scores contrast with several housekeeping complaints in Booking.com reviews reproduced elsewhere.
Service: Often praised as friendly; reservation handling is a recurring weakness across platforms.
Amenities: Breakfast, parking, restaurant and shallow pool are listed; confirm gym, steam room and terrace operation.
Fees and surprises: Confirm prepaid reservations directly; neighboring construction was reported in January 2026, with current status unverified.
