A good overnight base, but freeway noise and pool closures weaken the appeal. a practical 3-star airport-area hotel beside I-465, scored for what it is.

This practical 3-star Holiday Inn Express beside I-465 is a good pick for an airport stopover or a driving-based Indianapolis visit. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests generally praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff. Free breakfast, overnight parking and IHG’s advertised 24-hour airport shuttle make it useful rather than special.

The biggest catch is the indoor pool: guests repeatedly reported renovation-related closures through September 2026, despite listings continuing to advertise it. Confirm reopening directly before promising the kids a swim. Freeway noise is another recurring complaint, so request a room away from the interstate. Breakfast and service draw some mixed reports, though positive feedback predominates. We’d choose it for a straightforward short stay, not a walkable city break or a pool-focused family trip.

• Best for: airport stopovers; business travelers with a car; short Indianapolis visits

• Watch out for: pool closures reported through September 2026; freeway noise in interstate-facing rooms; car-dependent location

• Location: Convenient off I-465 for driving; not a strong base for exploring on foot.

• Rooms: Generally comfortable, with spacious suites available; interstate-facing rooms can be noisy.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength in recent feedback, despite occasional housekeeping complaints.

• Service: Usually friendly and helpful, with some reports of inconsistent front-desk service.

• Amenities: Free breakfast, Wi-Fi, gym and advertised 24-hour airport shuttle; verify pool availability.

• Fees and surprises: Overnight parking is free during your stay; extended parking costs extra, and an incidental deposit may be required.
