Stay here if you want to step outside and immediately feel you are in Las Vegas. Around Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road, fountain shows, elaborate casino interiors, shopping and the pedestrian promenade toward the High Roller make spontaneous exploring easy. This is our default for a first trip, especially without a car.
- Best for
- first-time visitorscouplestravelers without a carshopping
- Skip it if
- You want quiet streets outside your door; Crowds and indirect pedestrian crossings frustrate you
- Getting around
- Walk between major attractions; use the Deuce or east-side Monorail stations around Flamingo Road; from LAS take a taxi/rideshare or normally CX to Flamingo Road, checking October 2026 detours.
- After dark
- Busy late around casino entrances and pedestrian promenades; expect crowds, music and plenty of stimulation rather than a peaceful evening stroll.
- Where to look
- LINQ Promenade. Start here for lively pedestrian evenings, casual dining and easy entertainment; best for friends who want activity outside.Las Vegas Boulevard at Harmon. Choose this busy stretch for shopping and central sightseeing; pedestrian bridges make crossings less direct than they look.Sands Avenue at Las Vegas Boulevard.
