Strong June reliability cannot offset rigid fare rules and Light's baggage extras
Axel considers Pegasus a conditional budget choice: book it for a low final price and fixed plans, not for flexibility. June 2026 reliability was strong and no refund enforcement findings were identified, but lower fares are not reimbursed on changes, Light excludes an overhead bag, and families lack a universal free adjacent-seat guarantee.
- Best
- June 2026 OAG results showed 83.1% on-time performance and 0.26% cancellations.
- Airline-cancelled flights qualify for a refund without deductions.
- Comfort Flex allows one penalty-free change at least 2 hours before departure.
- Worst
- Reissuing into a lower-priced fare class produces no fare-difference refund, even with Comfort Flex.
- Light includes only a 3 kg underseat bag, with overhead baggage costing extra.
- Pegasus does not publish a universal free adjacent-seat guarantee for families.
If the fare drops after you book, can you get money back?
RarelyRepriceability 3.1/10
Rarely, and not through a lower-fare refund. Pegasus denies reimbursement when reissuing into a cheaper fare class, including Comfort Flex, and no separate same-flight price-adjustment policy was confirmed. On international nonstop flights, eligible Light and Saver booking classes deduct 40% of transportation fare, excluding the service fee, for changes at least 2 hours before departure, plus any higher fare. Comfort Flex allows one penalty-free change before that cutoff, but keeps any lower-fare difference. Cancellation and rebooking may help only when the ticket's refund rules allow it.
Open-Ended Ticket validity is one year from conversion, with travel completed within that period by the named passenger. It is not a lower-fare credit, and redemption carries applicable service fees and fare differences. For eligible website/app purchases, the cancellation window is 24 hours only when booked more than 72 hours before departure. It shrinks to 60 minutes when departure is more than 24 through 72 hours away, or 30 minutes within 24 hours. Group bookings are excluded and some airport-tax exceptions remain. Axel's supplied data contains no sample size, observation period or savings results.

At least 12 hours before international nonstop departure: G/P/U/T/Z/V/X/S are non-refundable; N/K/H/M/L/B/Y deduct 50% of base fare. Below 12 hours, all classes are non-refundable. Fuel surcharge and service fee are retained; refundable taxes and eligible check-in-fee exceptions apply. | Fee | 0 | Fee |
| Saver | Same international booking-class-dependent deductions as Light; Saver does not waive change penalties. | Same international booking-class and timing rules as Light; the package alone does not establish refundability. | Included | 1 | Fee |

| Comfort Flex | No change fee | Cancellation at least 2 hours before departure refunds transportation fare except the original service fee. The General Rules summary table also excludes selected ancillary charges, so a refund of every ancillary component should not be assumed. - Fare difference on a cheaper change
- Lost. General Rules section 5.1.7 denies reimbursement when reissuing into a lower-priced fare class. Comfort Flex has the same restriction. Separately calculated package-price differences can be refundable; these are not a fare-difference credit.
- Same flight, lower price
- Pegasus's own General Rules section 5.1.7 says a reissue into a lower-priced fare class receives no reimbursement; section 5.7 expressly applies the same restriction to Comfort Flex. Its Free Cancellation page likewise says lower transportation-fare differences are not refunded on changes. These pages do not explicitly establish a price-adjustment policy for the identical booked flight. Neither displays a publication or last-updated date; both were checked on October 26, 2026. Cancellation followed by a new purchase is a possible workaround under the ticket's refund rules, not an expressly published same-flight price-drop policy. The initial cancellation window, Comfort Flex and the purchased Free Cancellation add-on have different deadlines and deductions. Therefore, cancel_and_rebook_only would overstate the evidence; unknown is retained.
- Credits (Open-Ended Ticket)
- Valid for one year from conversion to an open-ended ticket; the replacement flight must occur within that validity. Transferable: no.
- 24-hour rule
- For website/app purchases handled through those channels: more than 72 hours before departure gives 24 hours after purchase; more than 24 through 72 hours gives 60 minutes; 24 hours or less gives 30 minutes. Pegasus advertises a full-refund option, while General Rules section 5.4 specifies waiver of transaction charges and preserves country-specific non-refundable airport-tax exceptions. Group bookings are excluded. The 24-hour window therefore does not cover every booking.
- Same-day change
- No separate same-day standby or confirmed-change program was verified. Ordinary booking-class change rules apply, with changes completed at least 2 hours before international nonstop departure. Comfort Flex permits its one penalty-free change before that cutoff, subject to any higher fare.
- Schedule changes
- A current numeric threshold for an advance schedule change could not be confirmed. For airline cancellations, Pegasus offers a refund, free date change or open ticket. Its currently linked passenger-rights brochure, revised December 12, 2024, provides refund or rerouting after cancellation and reimbursement for delays of at least five hours when the journey no longer serves its purpose. Reimbursement is due within seven days; vouchers require signed passenger consent. The five-hour delay rule is not a confirmed advance-schedule-change threshold.

Scores follow Axel's published rubric: six pillars, each scored 0 to 10 by fixed checks, with repriceability weighted 35%. Facts were checked October 26, 2026. No data at all for Complaints and handling, so it takes the median of all rated airlines. No data for 3 checks (Cancel the standard fare, Refund complaints, First checked bag), each scored at the median of all rated airlines.
Refunds and disruptions
Türkiye's SHY-PASSENGER rules cover Pegasus services involving Türkiye. EU261 applies to covered EU/EEA departures, and UK261 to UK departures, not automatically to return flights on this Turkish airline. Applicable assistance includes refund or rerouting, meals, and accommodation with transfers when required. Qualifying delays can also trigger statutory compensation.
Pegasus promises refunds without deductions for airline cancellations. Its passenger-rights brochure, revised December 12, 2024, specifies reimbursement within seven days and requires signed consent for vouchers. Its Help Center says card refunds normally appear within 2 to 3 business days for Turkish banks and 3 to 7 for foreign banks. No refund or compensation findings were identified in the past 5 years, and no established reporting showed routine refund delays or forced vouchers in the past two years. These findings do not guarantee every refund is timely.
Reliability
Pegasus's release reporting June 2026 results, citing OAG's monthly On-Time Performance report, gives 83.1% on-time performance and a 0.26% cancellation rate. That is a strong monthly result, not proof of year-round performance. The figures cover June 1 through June 30, 2026. No qualifying Pegasus-wide calendar-year or rolling 12-month Cirium/OAG figures were verified.
Fees
Light includes a 3 kg underseat bag, not an overhead cabin bag or checked luggage. An 8 kg overhead bag costs extra, subject to availability. The airport tariff lists EUR 20 to 25 for international nonstop flights within 12 hours of departure, not an advance-online quote. Checked allowances start at 12 kg, with booking-specific prices. Saver, Saver Plus and Comfort Flex include 20 kg internationally.
Light seat selection costs extra. There is no published universal free adjacent-seat guarantee for families, and Pegasus warns parents and children may be separated. No fee-display findings were identified in 5 years, but bags and selected seats can raise the starting price.
Complaints
No usable complaint rate per 100,000 passengers is available because Pegasus has too few US passengers to measure. Mishandled bags and wheelchairs or scooters were not reported to U.S. DOT for April, May, July and August 2026. Bumping was not reported for April to June 2026. These gaps do not establish either good or bad complaint handling.
Loyalty program
Pegasus BolBol uses a published award chart. Ordinary BolPoints earned in 2026 expire on December 31, 2028, with different terms possible for promotions. From December 23, 2025, tickets paid partly or fully with BolPoints cannot be changed, reissued or converted to open tickets, even with Comfort Flex or Free Cancellation. Cancellation remains subject to applicable conditions. This is a confirmed cut in award flexibility.
Choose Pegasus Airlines if
- Travel with only Light's included 3 kg underseat bag.
- You have fixed dates and can accept no lower-fare reimbursement.
- Choose Comfort Flex when one penalty-free change is enough.
Book elsewhere if
- You expect cash or credit when the fare falls.
- You need an overhead bag included in the lowest fare.
- You need a universal free adjacent-seat guarantee for your family.
Tips
- Compare Light plus baggage charges with Saver, which includes an 8 kg cabin bag and 20 kg checked baggage internationally.
- Purchase seat selection if sitting with your child is essential, because automatic assignment can separate parents and children.
- For eligible website or app purchases made more than 72 hours before departure, check the 24-hour cancellation option rather than expecting a later fare-drop credit.
Questions travelers ask
Does Pegasus charge change fees?
Yes, except for Comfort Flex's limited allowance. On international nonstop flights, eligible Light, Saver and Saver Plus booking classes incur a deduction of 40% of transportation fare, excluding the service fee, when changed at least 2 hours before departure, plus any higher fare. Other booking classes have non-refundable reissue rules. Comfort Flex permits one penalty-free change or cancellation before that cutoff, but a higher fare is still payable.
Can I get money back if the price drops after booking?
Not through an ordinary change into a cheaper fare class. Pegasus retains the lower-fare difference, including on Comfort Flex. A separate price-adjustment policy for the identical booked flight was not confirmed. Cancelling and buying again may be possible under your ticket's refund rules, but deadlines, retained fees and the available replacement fare determine whether that actually saves money.
How long do Pegasus credits last?
An Open-Ended Ticket lasts one year from conversion, and the replacement flight must take place within that validity. Only the named passenger can use it. It is not a credit for a lower-fare difference, and redemption incurs applicable service fees and fare differences. Promotional campaign fares cannot be used. Eligibility is restricted, with the General Rules limiting conversion to specified Turkish domestic connecting itineraries.
What do I get if Pegasus cancels my flight?
Pegasus offers a refund without deductions, a free date change or an open ticket. Its passenger-rights brochure provides refund or rerouting after cancellation, with reimbursement due within seven days and vouchers requiring signed consent. Meals, accommodation and airport transfers apply when required. Compensation depends on the applicable law and circumstances. EU261 and UK261 do not automatically cover a Pegasus flight merely because it arrives in the EU or UK.
How much do carry-on and checked bags cost?
There is no fixed advance price across bookings. Light includes only a 3 kg underseat bag. An overhead bag up to 8 kg costs extra, with airport tariffs of EUR 20 to 25 on international nonstop routes or EUR 40 on international-international connections within 12 hours of departure. These are not advance-online prices. Light checked allowances start at 12 kg with variable prices. Saver, Saver Plus and Comfort Flex include 20 kg internationally.

An overhead cabin bag, maximum 8 kg and 55×40×23 cm, costs extra and is subject to availability. Advance prices vary by booking. The linked airport tariff lists EUR 20–25 for international nonstop routes and EUR 40 for international-international connections within 12 hours of departure; these are not advance-online prices.)
- First checked bag: no data, median 6.0/10 used (Light includes no checked baggage; purchased allowances start at 12 kg. Saver, Saver Plus and Comfort Flex include 20 kg internationally. The linked tariff lists North Cyprus advance web/app/agent prices more than three hours before departure of EUR 6 for 12 kg or EUR 8 for 20 kg. Other international advance prices vary. No fixed advance-online minimum in USD was confirmed; Pegasus says the final purchase-screen price governs.)
- Seat in the lowest fare: 3.0/10 (fee)
- Children seated with a parent: 0.0/10 (Pegasus does not publish a free adjacent-seat guarantee covering every fare and children through age 13. Its child-travel page recommends purchasing seat selection for children aged 2–12 and warns that parents and children may otherwise be separated. Without paid or package-included seat selection, seats are assigned automatically at check-in.)

Promotional points can have different validity periods. Pegasus is not obliged to send expiry reminders. The current membership agreement takes precedence over an undated older marketing page suggesting that points have no time limit.)
- Devaluations: 6.0/10 (unknown: Effective December 23, 2025, tickets paid partly or wholly with BolPoints cannot be changed, reissued or converted to open tickets, including Comfort Flex tickets and tickets with the additional Free Cancellation product.
