#6 of 7 hotels in Zürich West by Axel's take. Zürich West is #7 of 9 places to stay in Zurich. The best hotels in Zürich West, ranked · Where to stay in Zurich

Axel's take: 8.0/10

A dependable Zürich West base, with cooling and street-noise caveats. a practical, modern 4-star in Zürich West, scored for what it is.

Züri by Fassbind is a practical, modern 4-star in Zürich West, better for a well-connected city break than a pampered escape. We'd pick it for the transport links, nearby restaurants and generally strong housekeeping. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff. Hardbrücke station and nearby trams make getting around straightforward, while the free gym and sauna are useful extras.

The main reservations are temperature and room position. Several summer 2026 guests report weak cooling, and the hotel itself explains that air conditioning operates seasonally with restricted cooling. It also acknowledges noisier street-facing rooms; we'd request a garden-facing Superior. Breakfast is usually extra, and there's a compulsory nightly service fee. Skip it if powerful air conditioning or an Old Town doorstep matters more than practicality.

  • Best for: business travelers; transit-minded city breakers; Zürich West dining and nightlife

  • Watch out for: seasonal, limited air conditioning; noisier street-facing rooms; compulsory nightly service fee

  • Location: Restaurants and nightlife nearby, with convenient tram and Hardbrücke connections; outside the Old Town.

  • Rooms: Modern and functional; some guests find rooms compact, and garden-facing Superior rooms are the quieter option.

  • Cleanliness: Strong overall ratings across Booking.com, Expedia and Trip.com outweigh scattered housekeeping complaints.

  • Service: Guests generally praise helpful reception staff and straightforward check-in.

  • Amenities: Free gym, sauna and Wi-Fi; breakfast available, plus kettles and ironing equipment in rooms.

  • Fees and surprises: Nightly per-person service fee; parking and usually breakfast cost extra; minibar is not intended for food storage.
