Axel's take: 8.4/10

A strong airport overnight, with comfortable rooms and terminal access worth paying for. a full-service 4-star superior hotel connected to Zurich Airport, scored for what it is.

This 4-star superior airport hotel is a strong pick for an early departure or late arrival: covered terminal access removes the shuttle hassle. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and a generous breakfast. The overall picture is reassuring rather than flawless, and we'd choose it for a practical overnight rather than a Zurich city break.

You pay for the location. Breakfast and parking can add extra costs, while several Tripadvisor guests describe dim rooms, particularly those facing the atrium, and occasional service or maintenance lapses. Airport Shopping redevelopment and construction of a new energy center beside the hotel are ongoing; that establishes nearby works, not widespread room-noise problems. We'd skip it if neighborhood atmosphere or consistently polished service matters more than an easy departure.

• Best for: early departures and late arrivals; short business stopovers; families avoiding airport transfers

• Watch out for: dim, inward-facing rooms; breakfast and parking extras; ongoing airport construction nearby

• Location: Covered terminal access is the standout; airport trains also make central Zurich accessible.

• Rooms: Generally spacious and comfortable; rooms and lobby were renovated in 2023–2024, but dim lighting still draws complaints.

• Cleanliness: A clear strength across Booking.com ratings and recent Expedia guest reports.

• Service: Recent guests mostly praise helpful staff, though Tripadvisor reports show occasional inconsistent handling of problems.

• Amenities: Restaurant, bar, free Wi-Fi and PACE fitness facilities with sauna, steam room and relaxation area.

• Fees and surprises: Check breakfast inclusion; parking and city tax are extra. Airport Shopping redevelopment and the adjacent energy-center build remain ongoing.
