Axel's take: 7.3/10

Good for an airport stopover, less convincing as a polished four-star stay. a practical but aging 4-star airport business hotel, scored for what it is.

This is a practical 4-star airport business hotel: we'd choose it for a short stopover rather than a Zurich city break. Spacious rooms, a free airport shuttle and frequently praised staff are its strongest assets. Recent Expedia guests are particularly positive about cleanliness and helpful service, while Booking.com guests also appreciate the easy airport transfers. It delivers the overnight basics better than a polished four-star experience.

The trade-offs are recurring reports of tired furnishings, uneven bathroom cleaning and inconsistent restaurant service across Tripadvisor and Booking.com. Dining can feel expensive, and some road-facing rooms suffer traffic noise. Crucially, Accor confirms a noon-to-4 p.m. shuttle break; guests also report occasional capacity problems. We'd skip it for a special occasion or if seamless, round-the-clock terminal access matters most.

• Best for: overnight airport stopovers; business travelers; families needing larger rooms

• Watch out for: noon-to-4 p.m. airport shuttle break; dated rooms and uneven upkeep; traffic noise in road-facing rooms

• Location: About five minutes from the airport by road; a business-district base rather than a central Zurich stay.

• Rooms: Generous space is a strength, but recent guests repeatedly describe worn furnishings; request a room away from the highway.

• Cleanliness: Generally positive on Expedia, with recurring bathroom and housekeeping lapses on Tripadvisor and Booking.com.

• Service: Staff earn substantial praise, although restaurant responsiveness and complaint handling are less consistent.

• Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, fitness center, restaurants, bar and scheduled airport shuttle cover the stopover essentials.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and breakfast can cost extra; confirm shuttle times directly because published operating hours differ.
