Axel's take: 8.8/10

Go for the attentive beach service, not the newest rooms or downtown convenience. a low-key five-star beachfront resort on southern Palm Beach, scored for what it is.

Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach is a low-key five-star beachfront resort whose strongest luxury is its staff. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the warm welcome, thoughtful family touches and attentive pool and beach teams. Cleanliness is another consistent strength. We'd choose it for an easy beach holiday with good dining and a well-regarded spa, rather than a grand, sprawling resort experience.

The reservations are meaningful at this level: room-update complaints appear across several sources, and the southern-island location means rides to Palm Beach's main shopping and restaurants. The adults-only pool doesn't make the whole pool area child-free, either. Paid valet adds another expense. It's a strong pick for service-focused couples and families; we'd skip it if contemporary rooms, complete adult quiet or walk-out access to town are priorities.

• Best for: families wanting attentive service; couples planning beach-and-spa days; travelers who prefer understated luxury

• Watch out for: some rooms feel dated; rides needed for central Palm Beach; family activity near the adults-only pool

• Location: Direct beachfront setting; guests flag the distance from central Palm Beach shopping and dining.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds and balcony views draw praise, but dated-room complaints recur on Tripadvisor, Expedia and Reddit.

• Cleanliness: A clear strength across sources, including Expedia's exceptionally strong cleanliness rating.

• Service: Warm, attentive staff—especially beach and pool teams—are the most consistent reason guests recommend it.

• Amenities: Two outdoor pools, including an adults-only pool, plus beach service, a spa, fitness facilities and children's programming.

• Fees and surprises: Valet parking costs extra; Tripadvisor guests note that the adults-only pool remains close to family activity.
