Axel's take: 8.5/10

Dependable comfort and helpful staff, but the rooms lag behind the five-star label. a five-star business hotel in central Warsaw, scored for what it is.

The Westin Warsaw is a five-star business hotel we'd choose for dependable comfort rather than cutting-edge luxury. Booking.com guests rate cleanliness and comfort particularly highly, while recent Expedia and Tripadvisor reviews repeatedly praise helpful staff and the extensive breakfast. Its central location near Rondo ONZ makes it a practical base for work and sightseeing.

The main compromise is the rooms' age: recent guests on both Tripadvisor and Expedia describe interiors that show their years, even when clean and comfortable. That's a meaningful shortcoming at five-star level. The hotel offers a gym, sauna and massage treatments, but we'd choose it for a comfortable city stay rather than a spa-focused escape. Skip it if fresh design is central to your idea of luxury, and check breakfast inclusion and extra charges before booking.

• Best for: business travelers; comfort-first city breaks; travelers who prioritize breakfast and service

• Watch out for: dated room furnishings; breakfast not included in every booking; parking and other extra charges

• Location: Central setting near Rondo ONZ metro, with restaurants and public transport close by.

• Rooms: Strong comfort ratings and appealing skyline views, tempered by recurring comments about aging interiors.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com scores and recent Expedia and Tripadvisor feedback.

• Service: Helpful staff earn repeated praise; occasional reservation problems do not dominate the feedback.

• Amenities: Gym, sauna, treatment rooms, restaurant and an executive lounge with access conditions.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and pets generally cost extra; Expedia also lists a service charge, so check your booking terms.
