Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong family base with condo space, helpful staff and an easy gondola walk. An upscale condo lodge near the Lionshead gondola, scored for what it is.

Lodge at Lionshead is an upscale condo lodge, not a full-service luxury hotel. We'd pick it for families and groups wanting kitchen facilities and a short walk to Eagle Bahn Gondola. Tripadvisor's strong overall ratings are backed by recent Google, Expedia and Vrbo guests praising cleanliness, comfortable accommodations and location. Staff helpfulness is another consistent strength. Individually furnished residences make choosing the exact unit worthwhile.

The trade-offs matter: housekeeping isn't daily, and summer guests in one larger condo have reported uncomfortable heat without air-conditioning. Confirm cooling before booking. Despite year-round wording elsewhere on its website, the detailed amenities page lists seasonal pool and hot-tub closures, including October. Nearby Dobson Arena is also finishing a major remodel, with programming expected in November 2026; check remaining disruption. We'd skip it if daily service, guaranteed summer cooling or shoulder-season swimming are essential.

  • Best for: Families wanting kitchen facilities; Groups sharing larger condos; Skiers happy with a short gondola walk

  • Watch out for: Seasonal pool and hot-tub closures; Confirm air-conditioning in your unit; Nearby Dobson Arena construction

  • Location: Close to Lionshead shops and restaurants; a short walk to Eagle Bahn Gondola, rather than ski-in/ski-out.

  • Rooms: Individually furnished studios through four-bedroom residences; layouts, finishes and kitchen facilities vary.

  • Cleanliness: Strong overall cleanliness ratings, supported by recent positive guest feedback.

  • Service: Helpful staff draw repeated praise; included housekeeping is departure cleaning plus one midweek clean for stays of five nights or longer.

  • Amenities: Gym, ski storage and seasonal recreational equipment; detailed official policy lists pools and hot tubs as seasonal.

  • Fees and surprises: One parking space per condo is included; extra vehicles require paid public parking, and direct-booking deposits are nonrefundable.
