Axel's take: 7.1/10

Friendly staff help, but renovation makes this a conditional pick. A full-service convention hotel in southeast Tulsa, currently undergoing renovation, scored for what it is.

This full-service convention hotel in southeast Tulsa is a reasonable pick for an on-site event, but not our first choice for a relaxing getaway during renovation. Expedia and Travelocity guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, comfortable beds and generally clean rooms. Newly renovated rooms earn encouraging feedback; older ones still draw complaints about worn carpets, furniture and bathrooms. Request an updated room rather than assuming the photos guarantee one.

The bigger compromise is the ongoing work: Marriott warns of daytime construction noise and currently lists both the fitness center and Club Lounge as closed for renovation. The indoor pool remains advertised. Parking and breakfast cost extra, and this car-oriented location suits southeast Tulsa better than downtown sightseeing. We'd skip it if gym access, lounge benefits or undisturbed daytime rest matter.

• Best for: Attendees at on-site conferences; Business travelers with a car; Guests willing to request a renovated room

• Watch out for: Construction noise and closed gym and Club Lounge; Uneven renovated versus older room condition; Paid parking and breakfast

• Location: Car-oriented southeast Tulsa setting near highway access; less convenient for downtown sightseeing.

• Rooms: Updated rooms receive praise, but recent guests still report worn older rooms; confirm the assigned room type.

• Cleanliness: Generally positive rather than exceptional: Expedia scores cleanliness 8.2/10, while Booking.com lists 7.5/10.

• Service: Helpful, friendly staff are a recurring strength across recent Expedia and Travelocity reviews.

• Amenities: Indoor pool advertised; Marriott currently marks the fitness center and Club Lounge closed for renovation.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and breakfast are extra; complimentary in-room Wi-Fi is offered to Bonvoy members booking direct.
